Among the millions of blogs on Tumblr, only a small number are contributors of original content: “the world’s creators”

And if you’ve ever looked at Tumblr’s Explore Page you might notice that Photography is oddly absent.

There’s #design, #art, #architecture and even #artists on tumblr — but no mention of anything related to the art of taking pictures with a camera. Even #film is a trap — it’s for movies, not analog photography!

We don’t think this situation is acceptable. So let’s Fight it.

We’d like to ask all original photographers on Tumblr to start putting the #photographers on tumblr tag on every single photo you post.

Photographers deserve more recognition among the Creators on Tumblr. Hopefully, by using this tag we’ll help the entire community of Tumblr photographers get noticed — and maybe one day we will see that tag on the Tumblr Explore page too.

This Olympics fever is finally hitting me - I went to see the Olympic Torch in Clapham Common today.

It was such a lovely feeling! Everyone was getting excited - they got me buzzing! Looking forward to tomorrow now! :)

This is my first 25th birthday present - and this is as cool as it gets!

It all started with a little nagging, to have a proper pinterest account, with my very good friend Matthew. And we were having one of our long, what I call, “whatsapp chat” - since I’m in London and he’s in Malta - about his positive pinterest activity progress.

I noticed his fullspot pin and remarked how cool they are, because I’ve seen them at Selfridges and one of my friends over here got one for Christmas. And personally I was thinking of getting one for my birthday - specifically, white strap and a gold face.

He then said “well - this is what I’m getting you for your birthday - you might as well pick your colour!”

Isn’t he great? - Indeed.

Arrivals is a simple list of where your foursquare friends currently are. It is intended to be displayed on a spare second screen such as a tablet or phone without intrusively drawing attention.

Where’s Dad?

Arrivals is based on a concept by Toby Barnes. Where’s Dad is a small glanceable display built for Toby’s son for use on a spare old iPhone. Whilst Toby is travelling his son asks him during phone calls where he currently is. This display constantly shows his current location, city and country based on his foursquare checkins. A simple piece of situated software with an user base of one person. See Toby’s blog for more details of his thinking behind it.

Having a friend who’s studying marine biology and marine conservation I get to know the odd fact every ~~once in a while~~ hour or so. Today, she came up with a good one, Good Food Guide App that let’s you know which fish is sustainable seafood for anyone who wants to make the right choice at the supermarket.

It’s a free app - and it’s incredibly informative.
